About The Position
The River Hospital Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team to work per diem hours, night-shift. A clinically competent registered, licensed nurse who provides immediate, specialized emergency care with a multidisciplinary emergency medical service provider team. Must possess the basic and advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Requirements
- Valid and current registration, New York State RN license
- BLS upon hire
- ACLS and PALS certification within the first six months of hire.
- Must possess the basic and advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
- Must possess the physical ability to perform CPR.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred minimum of two years of medical/surgical nursing experience and/or one year of Emergency Medicine or Critical Care experience
Responsibilities
- Provides immediate, specialized emergency care with a multidisciplinary emergency medical service provider team.
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care.
- Complies with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.
