About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long Term Care assignment in Velva, North Dakota. This role is ideal for a nurse dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a skilled nursing environment. The RN will be responsible for delivering direct resident care, ensuring safety, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support positive resident outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong assessment, documentation, and medication administration skills
- Ability to work variable day shifts, including 12-hour schedules
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to geriatric care
- Ability to work independently and adapt to facility needs
Nice To Haves
- Previous LTC, SNF, or similar experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed
- Assess, monitor, and document residents’ physical and emotional conditions
- Identify and report changes in patient condition appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, therapists, and care team members
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies
- Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and independence
- Follow facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines
