About The Position

The Registered Nurse will provide leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate patient care in Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Emergency Department, a 100-bed unit comprising Adult Emergency (75 beds), Pediatric Emergency (13 beds), and the Behavioral Health Observation Annex (12 beds). The department is a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, ER Techs, and Paramedics. Team members are trained for success and encouraged to participate in planning meetings, shared governance, and educational development.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position scheduled for 36 hours per week on the night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working three 12-hour shifts per week. The schedule rotates every other weekend and observed holiday. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities
