About The Position

The Spine Team Texas Ambulatory Surgical Center Registered Nurse is responsible for providing assistance to the Medical staff in the ASC. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing pre & post op patient care in accordance with policies and procedures. Position must maintain active communication regarding patient status/progress with health team members, and health care providers. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas.

Requirements

  • Current Texas RN License
  • Current BLS, ACLS certifications (obtained with-in 30 days of start date)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to effectively present information to senior management.
  • Excellent organizational ability.
  • Possess the ability to plan and execute work projects.
  • Possess the ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals.
  • Proficient in communicating in the English language both written and verbally.
  • Full working knowledge of the EMR.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in OR or Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Responsibilities

  • Assist all Medical staff within the ASC during procedures.
  • Provide patient care during Pre-Op, PACU and if applicable in the OR in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate notations in patient charts regarding patient status and condition.
  • Provide the family with necessary information both pre and post admission to the ASC.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be required by the ASC Nurse Manager.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service at all times.
  • Speak in a kind, courteous and professional manner when dealing with a patient/customer or co-worker.
