About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) working PRN Nights at Clear Lake North. The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the nursing unit. This includes interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. The role may also involve performing other related duties, including serving as a Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Requirements

Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
Current BLS certification is required.
Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Nice To Haves

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
Planning, coordinating, and providing patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
Performing other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
