Responsibilities
- Implementing a resident care plan
- Performing direct nursing services such as administering treatments and assisting in assessments and evaluations
- Assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Delegating suitable components of the care plan to the nursing assistants, provides guidance and supervision when necessary
- Consulting with and validating data
- Record pertinent information in the patient record
- Identifying and evaluating the resident's response to health problems and treatments
- Communicating residents care needs to others involved in the care
- Assuming responsibility for professional growth and development
- Other duties as assigned by the director of nursing
- Oversees and implements a resident plan of care
