About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in the Radiation Oncology Division and assists physicians with patient care and teaching. The role includes customer service and patient assistance, system and documentation responsibilities, and telephone triage.
Requirements
- A valid Florida RN license is required.
- Current CPR certification is required; AHA certification is preferred.
- BLS is required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. FCS will provide a BLS course within the first 30 days.
- Ability to assess patient needs and condition.
- Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies.
- Fluency in English and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong EMR skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in radiation therapy.
- Experience with hematology, oncology, or radiation oncology patients in a clinic or hospital.
