About The Position

Armor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting. The role involves assessing patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs; developing and implementing nursing care plans; documenting and communicating triage decisions; and carrying out medical care as directed by healthcare providers. Requirements

Hold a current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Hold a current CPR certificate.
Be proficient with electronic medical records.
Be able to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
Assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions; obtain health histories and prepare written admission assessments.
Document and communicate triage decisions to the appropriate healthcare provider during custody and upon discharge.
Develop individual nursing care plans using nursing assessment protocols in consultation with healthcare providers.
Implement medical care plans, including diagnostic tests and EKGs, according to physician orders.
Administer medications using proper techniques, procedures, and approved routes, and follow nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
Assist physicians with medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.
