This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Burnet Emergency Department, working a night shift with 32 hours per week and an FTE of 0.8. The role is for an experienced RN and is a regular employee status. The position involves maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, supporting leadership in compliance efforts, and monitoring safety and departmental policies. The nurse will utilize systems thinking to coordinate care and anticipate patient and family needs, ensuring a safe environment. Clinical judgment is essential for performing caring practices, collecting data, following protocols, and documenting care. The role also involves clinical inquiry to improve practice, implementing research-based practices, and recognizing the need for further learning. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team through shared decision-making and participation in shared governance is expected. The nurse will demonstrate the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM), exhibiting advocacy, moral agency, and response to inclusion, while being aware of ethical conflicts and patient rights. Culturally inclusive concepts will be integrated into patient care, considering age-specific and cultural needs. The position requires adherence to the Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates if applicable.
