About The Position
Lake Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their close-knit and compassionate team. This role involves providing exceptional direct care and support to patients. The Registered Nurse will assess, coordinate, and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of care and practices. The position requires active engagement in the healthcare team, offering direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians, and continuously assessing patients' physical and psychological conditions. The RN will uphold a safe therapeutic environment, collaborate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, and contribute to the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required.
- Valid Illinois State RN license.
- At least three years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
- Demonstrate exceptional crisis management and time management skills.
- Showcase flexibility and creativity with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exhibit a calm, organized, and professional demeanor even in stressful situations.

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
