About The Position
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) for a 13-week contract to provide high-quality emergency care in a critical access hospital serving a diverse patient population. The RN will assess, stabilize, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries while supporting Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, and Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed. This role requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and prior travel experience to thrive in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Experience in ER, Med/Surg, and Charge Nurse responsibilities required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification required
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification required
- Current PALS (AHA/ARC or ENPC) certification required
- Current TNCC certification required
- Strong assessment, triage, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
Nice To Haves
- NIHSS, CPI, and SANE certifications preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, stabilize, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries.
- Support Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, and Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.
- Float between ER, Med/Surg, and Charge Nurse duties in a critical access facility.
