Now Hiring: Registered Nurses (Full Time) Location: Casa Mia – Vancouver, BC Working hours: Monday to Friday 6:30a.m to 14:30p.m. About Casa Mia Casa Mia offers 90 long term care beds, consisting of primarily single occupancy rooms. Many with expansive views. This estate home features three stories with a grand dining area, ballroom, recreation areas and large outdoor patios on each floor. Casa Mia provides our residents with a heritage estate setting and modern best practice care. Casa Mia works in partnership with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
Requirements
- Active registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with BCCNM
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Proficiency in electronic documentation systems, including eMAR
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate

- Previous long-term care experience
Responsibilities
- Coordinating resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Completing resident assessments and individualized care plans
- Administering medications, treatments, and wound care
- Using PointClickCare and other electronic systems for documentation, including MDS assessments
- Communicating with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Delegating tasks to unregulated care providers (HCAs)
- Assuming Charge Nurse duties, including overseeing care delivery and ensuring team collaboration
- Participating in Care Conferences and Medication Reviews
