Requirements
- Diploma/Associates Degree in nursing
- Florida Registered Nurse License
- BLS
- Expertise in Venous Access
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Nice To Haves
- Experience in PICC placement preferred
- VA-BC Preferred - Expertise with ultrasound guidance
- Competent with PICC navigation and Tip Location Device
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Unit Director/Manager, the Vascular Access Nurse responsibilities encompass assessment and placement of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), as well as routine management of peripheral IV catheters, PICCs, central venous catheters and midlines.
- To be a highly valued resource to educate and enhance IV skills of the overall nursing staff of UFHCF on a continuing basis.
- Monitor CLABSI data with Infection Control Nurse.
