Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg (PCU 5)
About The Position
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to positively impact patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in nursing practice. Using the nursing process and evidence-based principles, the RN cares for a diverse caseload of patients within the department’s scope of service. The RN serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, and collaborates with and guides care delivered by the interprofessional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid Ohio RN license.
- No prior job-related work experience is required.
- Ability to multitask amid constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong organization skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
