About The Position

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of use of self. The Cooper Voorhees Surgery Center (VSC) is a hospital-run outpatient surgical center that follows the same clinical standards as Cooper’s main surgical facilities in Camden. As a non-24/7 center, all patients return home after their procedures, with any complications routed to Cooper in Camden or the nearest appropriate facility. VSC manages its own pre-admission screening and guides patients through registration, pre-op preparation, anesthesia and surgical care, and recovery in PACU before discharge.
