Experienced GI Lab Registered Nurse
About The Position
The RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for patients having a procedure performed in the GI Laboratory. The RN has advanced training in this area and provides care utilizing the nursing process, therapeutic environment, treatment and diagnostic processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration. For their patients, the RN collaborates in formulating the overall plan of care, as evidenced by written documentation, and identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual assessments.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) certification.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- At least 2 years of acute care experience.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for patients having a procedure performed in the GI Laboratory.
- Provide care using the nursing process, therapeutic environment, treatment and diagnostic processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Collaborate in formulating the overall plan of care for patients and document it in writing.
- Identify patient needs and problems through biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual assessments.
