About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Pulmonology Critical Care Clinic at Ascension's Medical Park Tower in Austin, Texas. The position is full-time, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm. The nurse will deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care by following established clinical protocols and organizational safety standards. Key responsibilities include managing and monitoring individualized patient care plans, proactively tracking and communicating vital changes in patient conditions to the care team, and coordinating multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless and comprehensive care. The nurse will also execute physician and nursing orders with precision and advocate for patients by assessing and coordinating their discharge planning needs early.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.

Nice To Haves

  • RN experience in an outpatient clinic setting preferred
  • RN experience in Pulmonary or critical care preferred
