About The Position

Hartford Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses to join its Medical Observation Unit, a fast-paced unit focused on patients who require 24–48 hours of observation to determine whether they can safely transition or need hospital admission. A dedicated team of Registered Nurses, hospitalists, consultants, PCAs, administrative professionals, and support staff provides safe, personalized, and compassionate care while medical decisions are made.

Requirements

• Current Connecticut RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
• ADN/ASN required.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, personalized, and compassionate care to patients in the Medical Observation Unit.
• Care for patients requiring a period of observation before a decision is made about hospital admission versus transition.
