The Registered Nurse provides patient care in the Observation/Clinical Decision Unit, a fast-paced setting with frequent patient turnover. The RN assesses patient needs; plans nursing care addressing spiritual, emotional, and physiological needs; ensures the care plan is carried out and evaluated; and modifies care to align with patients’ age, growth, and development and the unit’s scope of services. When serving in a charge role, the RN also performs clinical and leadership functions. The RN is directly accountable to the Nurse Manager for the quality of care delivered. This is a full-time day-shift position at St. Peter’s Hospital. The organization describes the hospital as a Magnet Hospital in the Capital Region and highlights its orientation program, tuition allowance, career development, and shifts intended to accommodate different schedules.
