About The Position

Join Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! This is a Full-Time Day Shift position in Cardiovascular Day Surgery. Our Cardiovascular Day Surgery unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. The leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The patient population includes pre-operative and post-operative patients receiving procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Vascular Surgeries in the Operating Room. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:3. This specialized cardiovascular perioperative care unit offers opportunities to learn additional skills such as assisting with bedside procedures and Ultrasound Guided IV Insertion. Requirements

• Graduated from an Accredited Program.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized cardiovascular perioperative care to pre-operative and post-operative patients.
• Assist with bedside procedures.
• Perform Ultrasound Guided IV Insertion.
