About The Position

As an RN, you'll provide evidence-based, patient-centered care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, advocate for patients, and help drive positive outcomes. This role is on the Med/Surg Observation team in Sheboygan, caring for patients requiring short-term, focused monitoring and rapid clinical decision-making. The unit offers a fast-paced environment that strengthens assessment skills, clinical judgment, and efficiency in care transitions. Requirements

  • RN license in applicable state
  • BLS required (additional certifications may be required based on specialty)
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
  • Typically 1+ year of clinical nursing experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced, short-stay patient populations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Organization, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care for patients requiring short-term monitoring and evaluation.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while engaging patients and families.
  • Use evidence-based practices and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
  • Identify risks and maintain a safe care environment.
  • Float to other units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
