About The Position

Journey Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its healthcare team. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates resident care while helping deliver high-quality, holistic care. The role directs the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants and ensures compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and facility policies and procedures. The position also involves supporting resident admissions, discharges, and transfers; monitoring changes in resident status; notifying physicians and residents’ families or representatives; documenting appropriately; and transcribing and carrying out physician orders.

Requirements

Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Direct the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants in accordance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and facility policies and procedures.
Follow the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents.
Ensure assigned nursing personnel comply with policies and procedures.
Participate in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers as required.
Assess changes in residents’ status, notify the physician and the resident’s family or representative, and document accordingly.
Transcribe physician orders to the medical record and carry out orders as written.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
