About The Position
The Registered Nurse oversees nursing duties and related nursing activities for clients and supervises nursing department staff assigned to the shift. The role is based at a 24/7 walk-in outpatient behavioral health urgent care center in Long Beach, providing rapid mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and medication support. The facility offers short-term stabilization for up to 24 hours and serves adults age 18 and older and adolescents ages 13–17.
Requirements
- Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Valid California driver's license.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Ability to successfully pass the facility Medication Test.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One year of experience in a mental health care setting working with seriously emotionally disturbed children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
- One year of supervisory experience preferred.
