About The Position

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2F Step-Down ICU Part-time (24 Hours Weekly), Days (7am-7pm) position. This role is benefit-eligible and offers up to a $10K sign-on bonus for experienced external candidates. The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Step-Down ICU (2F) is a 16-bed intermediate level of care unit between the Inpatient Units and the Critical Care units. The unit specializes in septic and respiratory compromised patients (COPD, PNA, Respiratory Failure) but also encounters a variety of diagnoses such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis, and AMS. Nurses work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. 2F is a great place for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing several drips and other specialized procedures. Due to its proximity and collaboration with the ICU, 2F is utilized as a progressive steppingstone for RNs to build skills needed for the ICU.

Requirements

Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).

Nice To Haves

LPNs to maximally utilize their training and skills in patients of progressive acuity.
