About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers quality care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation/re-assessment. The role provides direct and indirect patient care in a Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or Step Down Unit. The nurse communicates with physicians about changes in a patient’s clinical condition, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The nurse may also perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision and participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.
Requirements
- Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
- Current Florida Registered Nurse licensure.
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Nice To Haves
- One year of acute care experience preferred.
- Successful completion of a Telemetry course or experience in telemetry.
