About The Position

Provides direct patient care to patients in an intra-operative setting using the nursing process. Is responsible for managing the care of assigned patients and coping with rapid case turnover and directing activities of ancillary staff. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to patients of all age ranges.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or will obtain prior to working as a RN.
• Current Georgia RN or a multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria professional licensure or will obtain prior to beginning work as a RN.
• BLS CPR required.
• Finger and hand dexterity.
• Ability to obtain and interpret pertinent information in terms of the patient’s needs.
• Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies appropriate for the procedure being performed and the age group of the patient served.
• Prolonged walking and standing required.
• Ability to lift and move patients.
• Ability to tolerate rapid patient turnover and high census.
• Ability to effectively cope with acute emergency situations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous surgical experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience in acute care setting preferred or will be a graduate of a peri-operative training program.

Responsibilities
