About The Position

Registered Nurses (RNs) provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health programs. RNs assess patient health, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents. Monitoring vital signs, developing and updating resident care plans for completion of treatment goals, reviewing residents’ charts for physician orders, progress notes and physical complaints, and performing other nursing procedures as directed. Because the Arkansas Health Center is a long-term nursing home facility the Registered Nurses generally work 12 hours shifts and rotating schedules.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to perform physical assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
  • Proficiency in administering medications and treatments safely.
  • Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • May require lifting and positioning of patients, walking, use of restraints and aggressive behavior management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical orders.
  • Develop, implement, and update patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions and wellness practices.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care teams to plan and implement care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with health regulations.
  • Monitoring vital signs, developing and updating resident care plans for completion of treatment goals, reviewing residents’ charts for physician orders, progress notes and physical complaints, and performing other nursing procedures as directed.
