About The Position

Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit operates as an accredited rehabilitation facility, providing specialized, evidence-based care for patients recovering from complex medical conditions and injuries. We uphold the highest standards of care. Our multidisciplinary team—comprising nurses, therapists, and physicians—works collaboratively to deliver personalized treatment plans that promote healing, restore function, and empower patients to achieve their goals. The unit is divided into two dedicated areas: Acute Brain Injury Program (10 Beds) Focused on patients with traumatic brain injuries and neurological conditions, this program offers intensive, individualized rehabilitation to maximize recovery and independence. General Rehabilitation Program (29 Beds) Serving patients with diverse rehabilitation needs, including orthopedic, cardiac, burns, and multi-trauma cases. This program emphasizes functional improvement and holistic well-being. At Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, located in Winston-Salem, NC, is a key part of our nationally recognized academic health system. Our 885-bed tertiary care hospital houses the region’s only children’s hospital, burn center, and Level I adult and pediatric trauma centers. The campus is also home to a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and to clinical centers of excellence in multiple specialties including cardiovascular, brain health and neurology, sports medicine and orthopedics, transplantation and nephrology. Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• At least one year RN experience

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
