American Training is seeking a Registered Nurse to work with our Specialized Housing Program. In this role, you will coordinate the provision of health care supports through training, monitoring required medical services, interfacing with various health care providers and coordinating essential follow up. Requirements

Nursing Degree with a Massachusetts RN License in good standing
One year related experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Satisfactory CORI

Nice To Haves

preferably with a minimum of 2 year’s experience
Knowledge of MAP regulations and Department of Developmental Services regulations a plus

Responsibilities

Provides assessment and direct nursing health care to the Residents as prescribed by Health Care Professionals
Communicates medical changes/needs/concerns of the Residents to Residential and Clinical Vice President/Directors, Senior Nurse Manager and Colleagues through variety of media
Coordinates medical supports including emergency treatment as required for Residents
Assumes direct nursing care for all program Residents
Effectively train Colleagues and assures competency (where applicable) of Colleagues in the special needs/medical issues of the Residents
Provides technical training and ensures competency of Colleagues in the use of medical devises in the program i.e., VNS, Thick-It
