About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides patient care by assessing health needs, analyzing data, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes. The RN collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide safe, healing, humane, and caring treatment. The role also includes patient and team education, discharge planning, and coordination of healthcare team duties.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy is required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy is required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Acute care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
Develop plans prescribing interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, promote health, and ensure a safe environment.
Evaluate progress toward desired outcomes and identify outcomes for the patient or situation.
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, healing, humane, and caring patient care.
Provide educational opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
Deliver health information directly to patients, families, and treatment teams.
Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
