DaVita Kidney Care

About The Position

DaVita is hiring a Dialysis Nurse (RN) at Heart of Marion Dialysis in Marion, Ohio, to provide care for patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. Dialysis experience is preferred, but DaVita is willing to train the right person. Applicants must have at least 9 months to 1 year of clinical experience as a licensed RN, excluding externships. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The clinic has 12 chairs, including one isolation chair, and uses Fresenius machines. Each shift has two RNs and two patient care technicians, with one RN assigned to isolation and one to the floor. The nurse will float 8–10 hours per week until the current RN retires in March. Compensation increases as the nurse completes training levels and takes on more responsibility. Paid training may occur at a facility or training clinic other than the assigned home clinic. The RN supervises and provides direct patient care, delivers dialysis therapy, assesses patients and treatment data, communicates concerns and emergencies to appropriate clinical and operational leaders, and supports patient and family education and care planning. DaVita seeks a collaborative, empathetic nurse with leadership, time-management, communication, redirection, and critical-thinking skills. Employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug screen and background check.
