About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Observation Unit at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital provides compassionate, patient-centered care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse leads coordination of care, collaborates with the healthcare team, and educates patients and families to support high-quality care and positive patient outcomes. The position is 36 hours per week on the midnight shift.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Health care provider certification (BCLS).
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
- Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families.
- Communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.
- Participate in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.
