CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 30 locations throughout the Philadelphia region. We are currently hiring for a per-diem Registered Nurse at our Philadelphia, PA location. The Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for the daily operations and clinical oversight of the Enhanced Cardiac Access Clinic (ECA). This leadership role ensures safe, high-quality patient care, efficient workflows, and compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. The RN provides direct supervision to the medical assistants and support staff. Works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and administrative leadership to achieve optimal patient outcomes and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted PA Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience in emergency department, cardiology, critical care, or outpatient/ambulatory care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration across teams
  • Advanced EKG Interpretation: Proficiency in identifying arrhythmias and acute ischemic changes.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to make rapid, accurate decisions in high-stress situations.
  • Effective Communication: Clear coordination with cardiologists and the ability to ease the anxiety of patients and families.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in documenting patient status and identifying subtle clinical changes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day clinic operations, including patient flow, walk-in visit coordination, and diagnostic testing schedules.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs, infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and providers to support cardiac evaluations, procedures, diagnostic testing, and patient education.
  • Adheres to policies and protocols pertinent to CCP NOW workflows.
  • Rapid triage and assessment; conduct thorough physical examinations and clinical assessments to identify signs of heart disease or impending cardiovascular events
  • Diagnostic Testing: Perform and interpret initial diagnostic tests, including 12-lead EKGs, stress test evaluations, and point-of-care blood tests like Troponin and D-dimer
  • Care Coordination: Facilitate seamless transfers to hospital ERs for patients requiring higher-level interventions
  • Emergency Intervention: Administer life-saving treatments such as CPR or defibrillation if a patient's condition decompensates while on-site, under the supervision of provider
  • Medication Management: Administer cardiac medications (e.g., anti-arrhythmics, blood pressure meds) and manage intravenous (IV) lines as prescribed.
  • Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms for patients under observation.
  • Act as a clinical resource and role model.
  • Maintain oversight of clinical supplies, equipment, and inventory for the clinic and procedure suite.
  • Promote a patient-centered, team-based culture with emphasis on professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Education: Instruct patients and families on heart-healthy lifestyle modifications, symptom management, and medication adherence
