About The Position
Pathways, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position at our Corning, NY Residence, which serves individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. This role involves clinical supervision of nursing staff and input for performance evaluations to ensure high-quality nursing and health-related services tailored to individual needs. The RN will actively participate in Service Planning/Interdisciplinary Treatment Teams, provide training and educational opportunities for staff and consumers, maintain open communication, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.
Requirements
- A Registered Nurse licensed and currently registered by the New York State Department of Education.
- Specialized training or one year experience working with people who are developmentally disabled.
- Must meet the requirements related to Criminal History Record checks, which requires prospective employees to be fingerprinted if they have regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with people receiving services in programs regulated by OPWDD.
Responsibilities
- Provides clinical supervision to nursing staff.
- Provides input for performance evaluations of nursing staff and OPWDD AMAP's.
- Ensures the provision of high-quality nursing/health related services as directed per individualized needs.
- Actively participates as a member of the Service Planning/Interdisciplinary Treatment Team.
- Provides meaningful training and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge/skills to staff and consumers.
- Maintains open communication with all.
- Ensures compliance of all applicable regulations and relevant policies and procedures.
