About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatric patients, adolescents, adults, and older adults. The nurse coordinates patient care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards. The role works with other departments and co-workers to provide continuity and quality of care, efficient patient flow, and unit maintenance and organization. The nurse adheres to applicable regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures; participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services; and serves as a resource for other personnel as appropriate. The position is part-time with a variable shift.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year of previous perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) certification (AORN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities
