About The Position

Wood Violet Recovery is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join their mental health medical program. This role is crucial in providing consistent medical care to clients in a voluntary residential program serving adults aged 18-64 with SUD and mental health needs. The RN will administer medications, conduct assessments, facilitate provider visits, assist with detox and discharge planning, educate clients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The position emphasizes a supportive environment focused on client recovery and lasting sobriety.

Requirements

Valid RN license in the state of Wisconsin.
3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a psychiatric or equivalent environment.
1-3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel at an intermediate/advanced level.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
Ability to support and educate clients in early recovery.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and complete appropriate documentation, including orders and refills.
Complete mental health intake and daily mental health assessments as scheduled.
Facilitate provider visits as scheduled and as needed.
Assist with initial detox treatment and discharge planning.
Educate clients on medications, health, and wellness.
Collaborate with providers, RNs, LPNs, and clinical staff.
Communicate with families/support networks as needed.
Respond to medical emergencies and support continuity of care.
