About The Position

Logan Health is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Logan Pre-Anesthesia Clinic (LPAC) team. This role is essential to ensuring patients are properly assessed, educated, and prepared for surgical and procedural care through a pre-anesthesia lens. The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Logan Pre-Anesthesia Clinic (LPAC) provides comprehensive patient assessments, education, and care coordination to ensure patients are safely prepared for surgical and procedural services. This role supports a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN License or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within Montana; required
  • Current HCP CPR (BLS) certification required
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, initiative, and critical thinking ability
  • Ability to prioritize and function both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patients and staff
  • Proficiency in computer systems; Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other programs as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred; experience in LPAC, PACU, pre-anesthesia, or procedural care strongly valued
  • Current ACLS and PALS certification may be required depending on assignment; must be obtained within six (6) months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient assessments, incorporating all available information and the patient’s own perspective of illness
  • Review and reconcile medications, ensuring safe anesthesia planning and providing patient education as directed by providers
  • Develop individualized care plans for each patient, updating as needed throughout the pre-anesthesia process
  • Identify and address patient and staff safety concerns proactively
  • Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, seamless patient experiences
  • Provide direct patient education regarding medications, anesthesia preparation, and post-procedure expectations
  • Participate in the development and delivery of education, orientation, and competency validation for clinical staff
  • Administer medications per provider orders, following department standards of care
  • Contribute to departmental quality initiatives and process improvements
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to excellence in patient care
