Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion Services (Part Time)
About The Position
ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Infusion Services department. The Infusion Center provides infusion and transfusion services in a comfortable outpatient setting for patients who may not require hospitalization or may not receive home care because of insurance constraints. Services are provided to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Nursing staff are educated and trained in all types of vascular access devices. Infusion services include antibiotic, anti-fungal, and anti-viral medications; blood product transfusions; hemophilia factors; IV immune globulin; therapeutic phlebotomies; iron therapy; IV steroids; Cortrosyn stimulation testing; monoclonal antibody therapies; vascular access declotting; and pheresis procedures. This part-time position floats between two campuses, working at Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and Wilmington Hospital Infusion suites. The schedule is 48 hours per pay period in 8-hour shifts, with on-call requirements.
Requirements
- BSN required, or commitment to obtaining a BSN within three years of the date of hire.
- At least two years of acute care experience.
- BLS certification required.
- Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware.

- Previous critical care or procedural area experience.
- Previous RN infusion experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide infusion and transfusion services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting.
- Provide treatments and procedures that include medications, blood product transfusions, therapeutic phlebotomies, vascular access declotting, and pheresis procedures.
- Work with vascular access devices.
- Float between the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and Wilmington Hospital Infusion suites.
