This position is for a Registered Nurse in the OR PACU department in Lewiston, Maine. Shifts available are days, with an assignment length of 12 weeks. The pay is up to $1,491.84 - $2,067.48 gross per week.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous PACU experience minimum of one year required.
Nice To Haves
- PALS (AHA) certificate preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services
- Delivers patient care in the PACU using the nursing process
- Coordinates post‑operative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists
- Directs and supports PACU staff while maintaining standards of care
- Communicates clinical changes to physicians, including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostics
- Collaborates with departments to ensure quality care, efficient patient flow, and unit organization
- Ensures compliance with regulations, standards, and hospital policies
- Participates in performance improvement activities, unit meetings, and in‑services
- Serves as a clinical resource to other personnel as appropriate
