Registered Nurse (RN) – Young Adult Services
About The Position

This is a full-time, 40 hours/week position, Monday–Friday, with no weekend, nighttime, or holiday on-call responsibilities. Mileage reimbursement is provided. The position involves building rewarding relationships with young adults while supporting their health, wellness, and independence. Ability Beyond offers a true Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, major holidays, or on-call responsibilities. It is relationship-based nursing where there is time to understand the individual, recognize changes, and use clinical judgment. The setting is a collaborative behavioral health environment where you will work closely with young adults, direct support professionals, providers, families, and clinical teams. This role provides the opportunity to make a lasting impact through clinical guidance, education, and person-centered care. We are looking for nurses who want to use their RN skills in a residential setting supporting young adults with mental health and behavioral health needs. Requirements
- Active Connecticut RN License.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with young adults preferred.
- Experience in mental health or behavioral health preferred.
- Experience with dual diagnosis and/or addiction preferred.
- Experience in residential services is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing oversight across residential homes and coordinate care.
- Proactively follow up on clinical concerns, medications, appointments, and changing health needs.
- Collaborate with direct support professionals, providers, families, and clinical teams.
- Empower staff through education, training, and ongoing clinical support.
- Advocate for person-centered care and positive health outcomes.
