Requirements

  • Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Proficiency in direct patient care and nursing practices.
  • Direct patient care and nursing care are fundamental to daily responsibilities, enabling the nurse to assess and respond to patient needs effectively.
  • Patient education skills are utilized to communicate complex medical information clearly and compassionately, empowering patients to participate actively in their care.
  • Wound care expertise ensures proper treatment and monitoring of injuries, reducing the risk of infection and promoting healing.
  • Telemetry skills are critical for continuous cardiac monitoring, allowing timely interventions when abnormalities are detected.
  • Patient advocacy and collaboration with nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals ensure that care plans are comprehensive, patient-centered, and aligned with best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years clinical experience in a hospital, healthcare, or behavioral health-related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Monitor patients using telemetry equipment to detect cardiac and other physiological changes requiring intervention.
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and needs, ensuring ethical and compassionate care is delivered at all times.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized care plans.
  • Deliver nursing care in medical, surgical, and pediatric settings, adapting to the specific requirements of each patient population.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
