About The Position

The Registered Nurse is a clinically competent nursing professional with expertise in the assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and evaluation of actual potential responses to human disease and illness. The Registered Nurse achieves these objectives by engaging in a variety of direct patient/family care activities. The Registered Nurse must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Requirements

2 years of RN experience in the Emergency Department experience required
Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems (Medium proficiency)
Effective English communication skills, both written and oral (Medium proficiency)
OHS Fit Test Required
Registered Nurse New York New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN Upon Hire Required
OHS Annual Assessment Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Upon Hire Required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Training Upon Hire Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Training Upon Hire Required
Infection Control & Barrier Precaution Training Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

BSN in Nursing Preferred
Certification in specialty Upon Hire Preferred
