About The Position

Journey Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates resident care while following the nursing model to promote holistic care. The role directs the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants, ensures staff compliance with applicable regulations and facility procedures, and participates in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers. The RN also monitors residents for changes in condition, notifies physicians and residents’ families or representatives as appropriate, documents changes, transcribes physician orders, and carries out orders as written. Requirements

A nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Prior long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Direct the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants in accordance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and facility policies and procedures.
Follow the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents.
Ensure assigned nursing personnel comply with policies and procedures.
Participate in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers as required.
Assess residents for changes in status, notify the physician and the resident’s family or representative, and document accordingly.
Transcribe physician orders to the medical record and carry them out as written.
