About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Lakeway, Texas rehabilitation hospital. This PRN, as-needed role works the night shift from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. The stated PRN rate is $46 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends. The RN works with an interdisciplinary clinical team, including physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists, and partners with a Nursing Assistant on each shift. The role supports patients in achieving goals and milestones outlined in their individual care plans while managing a manageable caseload.
Requirements
- Valid state RN license.
- BLS certification required at hire.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or enrollment in a BSN program preferred.
- Clinical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Receive admissions and transfers.
- Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Document accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
- Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and partner with a Nursing Assistant on each shift to support patients' care-plan goals.
