About The Position

The Registered Nurse is a treatment team member responsible for overseeing all nursing duties and related nursing activities for clients. This role also involves the supervision of nursing department staff assigned to their respective shift. The position may manage the overall milieu and general operations of the facility to facilitate quality client care, optimum facility operations, and preserve safety. This includes potential shift oversight of staff designated to other departments (e.g., Safety Specialists, QA staff, Clerks, Clinical staff) as well as the nursing department. The Registered Nurse is responsible for accurately documenting client care in the Electronic Medical Records and collaborating with internal and external departments and agencies for optimal client care and facility operations. Licensed staff meeting qualifications may be asked to become LPS designee certified to facilitate the completion of “applications 5150/5585” for clients in need.

Requirements

  • Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of registered nursing.
  • Ability to pass facility Medication Test.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One (1) year experience with seriously emotionally disturbed children, adolescents, and adults in a mental health care setting, preferred.
  • One (1) year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities
