About The Position
The Recovery Village Indianapolis (RVI) is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders. It has 71 beds, with 15 beds for Detox, 34 beds for Residential, and 22 beds for Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Outpatient Treatment. The Registered Nurse performs a wide variety of job duties during a shift, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this position. The role works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility.
Requirements
- Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Licensed to practice in the State of licensure (RN), active and in good standing required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum two years' experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
- Behavioral health experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Complete documentation promptly and maintain medical records.
- Administer medications and monitor detoxification process.
- Transcribe Physician orders and implement Medical Protocols.
- Collaborate with medical personnel and external resources.
- Document patient services in compliance with licensure standards.
- Assess medical and psychiatric needs, prioritize, and expedite treatment.
- Communicate patient health concerns to appropriate staff and follow up.
- Educate patients about medications and health conditions.
- Take, document, and execute verbal orders accurately.
- Provide routine nursing care under Nursing Director supervision.
