About The Position

The Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized nursing care to hospice patients to maximize comfort and quality of life. The RN works within an interdisciplinary care team and builds trusted relationships with patients, families, physicians, and teammates. The role offers autonomy to practice at the top of the RN’s license with organizational support. The position is PRN, with availability for 4–6 shifts per month, including some weekends. Flexible coverage areas are available in White Bear Lake, Mahtomedi, Vadnais Heights, Shoreview, Hugo, Roseville, North Oaks, Anden Hills, Maplewood, St. Paul, Minneapolis, and surrounding areas. Pay is $40–$45 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and appropriate auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care that maximizes patient comfort and quality of life.
• Partner with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary group to create and carry out care plans.
• Perform comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual assessments to guide care decisions.
• Educate and support patients and caregivers.
• Coordinate care across disciplines to ensure continuity and dignity.
• Document care clearly and accurately to reflect patient needs and progress.
• Participate in on-call or admission rotations as needed.
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development.
