About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse on the Orthopedic Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at Skokie Hospital. The role involves providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, guiding assistive personnel, collaborating with the healthcare team, and contributing to positive safety outcomes and patient experience. The position is Per Diem, with a night shift from 7pm to 7:30am, including rotating weekends. Hours are as needed, and no travel is required.
Requirements
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
- BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
- 1 year of prior nursing required

Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
