About The Position

The Staff Pad has partnered with a premier healthcare organization in Blue Ridge, GA, to recruit compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) for its Emergency, Surgical, and Med-Surg/Swing Bed units. In this role, you will provide patient-centered care, monitor patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes. Available opportunities include Emergency Department RN – Full-Time, Surgical Unit RN – PRN, and Med-Surg/Swing Bed RN – PRN. The role involves assessing patients’ physical and psychosocial needs, developing and implementing care plans, monitoring patient conditions, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with healthcare teams, promoting patient safety, and providing guidance to junior staff. Swing Bed-specific responsibilities include supporting patient recovery, rehabilitation, mobility, and functional independence, coordinating care, assisting with ADLs, contributing to discharge planning, and educating patients and families.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ASN, or BSN)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
Current CPR certification required
1+ year of acute care experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and professional accountability
Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and work collaboratively with healthcare teams
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
Current CPR certification
At least 1 year of acute care experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, and patient-centered care

Nice To Haves

ACLS and PALS preferred
Swing Bed, transitional care, or rehabilitation nursing experience preferred
Experience caring for patients requiring continued medical care and rehabilitation

Ability to support patient mobility, functional recovery, and independence

Responsibilities

Assess patients’ physical and psychosocial needs and deliver individualized nursing care
Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on clinical needs
Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and communicate critical updates to the appropriate care team
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective care
Promote patient safety, maintain confidentiality, and follow hospital policies and clinical standards
Provide guidance and support to LPNs, CNAs, and new nursing staff
Perform Patient Care Technician and Unit Coordinator functions as needed
Assist with additional unit support duties as required by the facility
Support patient recovery, rehabilitation, mobility, and functional independence
Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and monitor progress toward recovery goals
Contribute to discharge planning and transitions of care
Educate patients and families on medications, recovery plans, and follow-up care
Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
