New graduate RNs with less than one year of experience can kickstart their nursing career with Sentara’s dynamic 6-month Nurse Residency Program. All new graduates are automatically enrolled in this immersive program, which combines practical skills with hands-on training, professional development, and mentoring, empowering them to confidently transition into their nursing career. Specialties available across all 12 Sentara hospitals include Medical Surgical nursing, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency Care, the Operating room, or Women’s Health.
